A Little Life Update
Didja miss me?
After a month-long hiatus, I’m finally settled enough to share a little update. In the past few weeks, I moved, started a new job, and began adjusting to a new rhythm.
I’ve said “see you later” to Madison, WI. I’ll miss the water, coffee shops, my garden, and—more than anything else— my friends. Leaving so suddenly hasn’t been easy, but I was offered an opportunity I simply couldn’t pass up. I’m now back in Lincoln, Nebraska, working for my alma mater as a lecturer, recruiter, and wearer of many hats.
There is something deeply comforting about returning to a place you once called home. It’s like being enveloped in a warm embrace from a friend you haven’t seen in years. In that same vein, the city has changed enough that I get to rediscover it with fresh eyes. I am excited to reconnect with friends, catch up with professors-turned-colleagues, and visit restaurants that I’ve missed (I’m looking at you, Fattoush). I’ve also enjoyed getting to walk my dog, Wally, and give him tours of my old neighborhood, where I once again find myself residing.
As disappointed as I am about having left my garden behind, I am eager to turn a new leaf here in Lincoln. With any luck, next summer I’ll have a new garden to play with—perhaps even one tied to educational programming at the university. Regardless, I’ll be chiming in once or twice a month with updates and garden tips for y’all—especially as the season winds down.

Enjoyed reading about your time in my hometown, Madison. However, Steph and I are so excited for you and wishing you all the success in this next chapter :).
Wow! What exciting news! Any chance for some container gardening?!
